The Emergency Coordination Center, which is responsible for managing the aftermath of the DANA event in Spain, announced that the number of fatalities in the Valencian Community had risen to 202 by Friday. This brings the overall death toll to 205, with two casualties reported in Castilla-La Mancha and one in Andalucia.
The State Meteorological Agency cautioned that the alert remains active as the severe weather conditions have not yet diminished and it is anticipated that rainfall will persist over the weekend.
