Death toll in India landslides climbs to 158

At least 158 people have been killed in landslides in the Wayanad district in the Indian state of Kerala, authorities said on Wednesday. In addition, at least 187 people are still missing amid difficult rescue conditions.

Over 3,000 people have been evacuated from the impacted areas as landslides and floods destroyed entire villages. Heavy rains are expected to continue on Wednesday, further complicating the efforts to locate survivors.
