European stock markets closed higher on Thursday following the European Central Bank's (ECB) decision to cut interest rates by 25 basis points.
Also, during today's session, Deutsche Bank released its lattes earnings report. According to the bank, revenue rose 8% to €7.2 billion for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024.
At the close, the DAX gained 0.52%, with Siemenes Energy up by 4.51%. The CAC 40 added 0.97%, while Eurofins Scientific improved by 4.84%. The FTSE 100 rose 1.08%, as Airtel Africa increased by 9.10%. The pan-European Euro Stoxx 50 edged up 1.05%, and Kering led gains, trading 4.20% higher.
At 5:27 pm CET, the euro and the British pound were up by 0.13% and 0.19% against the dollar, selling for $1.04238 and $1.24625 simultaneously.
