Egypt has sent a delegation to Israel to present it with a "comprehensive vision" of a new ceasefire and prisoner exchange between the latter country and Hamas, the al-Akhbar agency reported on Thursday.
The proposal allegedly stipulates the reopening of the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt, improving the humanitarian situation in the strip, Israel halting its military operations there, and Hamas being forbidden to claim control over it. The organization should also name the living hostages in the first few days of the truce.
The report came after Hamas expressed its readiness for a new ceasefire with Israel after that country agreed to the one with Hezbollah.
