Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Tuesday that the Israeli government is trying to trigger a regional conflict in the Middle East.
Speaking at a press conference in Ankara, Erdogan accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country's leadership of being "solely responsible" for the latest escalation in the Middle East region, stressing that the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, was " the last drop."
"Fueling the fire, continuously spoiling Netanyahu administration benefits no one," Erdogan stressed, adding that new tensions in the region can be expected until "genocide" in the Gaza Strip stops.
