Ethereum tops $3,500 first time since July

Cryptocurrencies continued trading with gains as Bitcoin remained close to reaching the $100,000 milestone and Ethereum climbed above $3,500 for the first time since late July.

Digital currencies were boosted by Donald Trump's election victory in the United States as investors expect him to be more crypto-friendly than the current administration of Joe Biden.

Ethereum surged 4.44% to $3,512.05 at 5:51 am ET, while Bitcoin rose 0.34% to sell for $98,378.9 at 5:52 am ET.
