Major stock indexes in the United States traded higher at the start of Friday's session after the Bureau of Economic Analysis report showed that US personal consumption expenditures (PCE) grew by 0.5% in July. Additionally, investors awaited the fresh data on consumer confidence, scheduled for release after the opening bell.
The Dow Jones added 0.21% at open, as Intel Corporation climbed by 5.81%. The Nasdaq 100 jumped 0.95%, with MongoDB Inc. skyrocketing 17.61%. The S&P 500 improved by 0.50%, and Autodesk Inc. rose by 5.49%.
The euro lost 0.16% compared to the dollar, changing hands at $1.10598 at 9:29 am ET.
