European stock exchanges closed higher on Friday after the region saw new updates on factory orders in Germany, the construction sector in the United Kingdom and retail sales in the Eurozone. In addition, Commerzbank released its latest quarterly report.
The DAX gained 0.37% at the close as its best performer Rheinmetall advanced 2.28%. The FTSE 100 closed 0.47% higher. Rolls-Royce Holdings soared 6.61%. The CAC 40 was up 0.75% at the end of trading with Credit Agricole rising 6.05%. The EURO STOXX 50 closed with a 0.66% increase as Flutter Entertainment jumped 3.55%.
The euro rose by 0.78% to $1.10349, while the pound was up 0.49% to $1.27694 at 5:34 pm CET.
