Major European stock exchanges extended losses on Friday after the latest data on the United Kingdom's economy showed that the gross domestic product did not grow with FTSE and CAC dropping more than 1%.
The DAX lost 0.72% at 11:56 am CET and the FTSE 100 sank by 1.27%. The pan-European Euro Stoxx 50 edged down 0.83% two minutes later. The CAC 40 decreased by 1.18% at 12:01 CET.
The euro gained 0.23% against the dollar at 11:58 am CET, selling for $1.06878. The pound gained 0.08% to go for $1.22279 simultaneously.
