North Atlantic Treaty Organization Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg asserted on Thursday, speaking at an event in Utoya, Norway, that the war in Ukraine has put Europe in the "most dangerous situation since World War II."
"It is in our interest that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin does not win the war in Ukraine," Stoltenberg underlined, adding that the full alliance will react should Moscow dare to get into an armed conflict with a NATO country.
The NATO chief reiterated that Russia's military operation in Ukraine is "an attack on the current world order" and that the alliance has two main targets, with the first one being to support Kiev, and the second one to prevent the conflict from turning into a full-scale war between Moscow and NATO.
