Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev (pictured) assured on Sunday that he sees no grounds for new agreements on disarmament, stressing at the same time the complexity of the situation around the war in Ukraine.
"New disarmament agreements are currently unrealistic and unnecessary. The sooner the guarantees of maximum security that suit our country are obtained, the sooner the situation will be normalized," Medvedev commented in Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
He also took the opportunity to say that 2022 was a "difficult" and "dramatic" year and that it "has already been marked by cardinal changes," including a new world order.
