Equities in Europe traded mostly lower in Wednesday's premarket in the continued aftermath of United States President-elect Donald Trump's prospective tariffs on certain foreign imports. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve hinted at the possibility of pausing the cycle of reducing its benchmark interest rate if inflation remains high.
The DAX declined by 0.13% at 8:00 am CET. Simultaneously, the CAC 40 dropped by 0.08%. The Euro Stoxx 50 fell by 0.06%. The FTSE 100 stood flat.
The euro stood flat against the dollar at 7:58 am CET to sell for $1.04803. Meanwhile, the pound sterling rose by 0.13% against the greenback to change hands for $1.25739.
