Major European stock indexes traded mostly in the green in the premarket hours on Thursday as investors awaited the new interest rate decision by the European Central Bank, which is expected to cut rates by another 25 basis points. In business, Deutsche Bank AG, F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG, and Sanofi SA released their fourth-quarter and full year earnings reports.
The DAX was flat, and the FTSE 100 added 0.17% at 8:00 am CET. At the same time, the CAC 40 improved by 0.20% and the Euro Stoxx 50 advanced by 0.22%.
Both the euro and the pound traded flat compared to the dollar at 7:58 am CET, selling for $1.04142 and $1.24404, respectively.
