Equities in Europe traded mostly higher in Thursday's premarket as investors anticipated the updates on Germany's industrial production, trade balance, and the Eurozone's retail sales. They also awaited the European Central Bank's (ECB) new economic bulletin, hoping for a hint on the institution's next monetary policy move.
The DAX gained 0.28% at 8:00 am CET. The FTSE 100 went up by 0.13%. The Euro Stoxx 50 increased by 0.15%. Meanwhile, the CAC 40 stood flat.
The euro lost 0.17% to the dollar at 7:57 am CET to sell for $1.02980. A minute later, the pound sterling declined by 0.51% against the United States currency to change hands for $1.22997.
