Major European stock markets traded in the green at the opening bell on Monday as investors awaited fresh reports on business activity from Germany, the Eurozone and the United Kingdom. Additionally, a meeting between American and Russian delegations to discuss a ceasefire in Ukraine started in Saudi Arabia, capturing global attention.
The DAX advanced by 0.71% at 9:00 am CET with Rheinmetall AG rising 2.68%. At the same time, the FTSE 100 gained 0.47% and Anglo American plc jumped 3.59%. The CAC 40 rose by 0.28% as Thales surged by 3.43%. The Euro Stoxx 50 improved by 0.73% with Stellantis NV gaining 2.04%.
The euro traded 0.21% higher against the dollar to sell for $1.08388 at 8:58 am CET. Simultaneously, the pound added 0.21% compared to the greenback, going for $1.29462.
