European stock indexes extended their gains on Thursday after the preliminary report on German inflation for March showed it fell to 7.4% on a yearly basis, compared to the annual inflation of 8.7% in February.
The DAX was up 1% or 153 points at 2:30 pm CET, while the Euro Stoxx 50 added 1.22%. The FTSE 100 increased by 0.78%, and the CAC 40 added 1.16%.
The euro traded 0.49% higher against the dollar, going for 1.08975 at 2:31 pm CET, and it rose by 0.11% compared to the pound to sell for 0.88154 a minute later.
