European gas soars 13% as EU faces cut-off

The price of European gas jumped over 13% on Tuesday after the European Union acknowledged it is working under the assumption that the Nord Stream pipeline will not restart working as scheduled on July 21.

UK natural gas futures for delivery in August surged 13.97% to 220,730 pence per therm at 11:34 am CET.
