The seasonally adjusted industrial production in the Eurozone rose 1.1% in February, compared to the month prior, Eurostat revealed in its report on Tuesday. In the entire European Union, the figure saw a monthly growth of 1%. Year over year, industrial output increased 1.2% in the euro area and 0.6% in the EU.
Month on month, in the Eurozone, the production of intermediate goods, capital goods, and non-durable consumer goods gained 0.3%, 0.8%, and 2.8%, while the production of energy and durable consumer goods fell 0.2% and 0.3%. In the entire EU, the production of intermediate goods, energy, non-durable consumer goods and capital goods saw a rise of 0.1%, 0.8%, 2.7% and 0.9%, while the production of durable consumer goods declined 0.4%.
Among the EU Member States, the highest monthly gains were recorded in Ireland with 10.8%, Belgium with 7.4%, and Luxembourg with 6.3%.
