The annual inflation rate in the Eurozone (EA19) stood at record 10% in September, up 0.9 percentage points compared to the previous month, according to Eurostat's preliminary report published on Friday.
Energy is estimated to reach an annual inflation rate of 40.8%. The food, alcohol and tobacco inflation rate will follow at 11.8% and non-energy industrial goods prices are expected to rise 5.6% year on year. The services inflation rate is projected to hit 4.3%.
Among the Eurozone countries, the highest projected annual inflation rate of 24.2% in September is expected in Estonia, and the lowest, 6.2%, in France.
