Poland's ruling Law and Justice party (PiS) is set to gain the most votes in the country's general election but is likely set to fail to win the needed majority to form a new government, first exit polls showed on Sunday.
According to the initial results PiS is expected to garner 36.8% of the vote, followed by former European Council President Donald Tusk's centrist Civic Coalition (KO) with 31.6%, center-right Third Way with 13% and The Left with 8.6%.
The results mean the three opposition parties could have a majority in the country's parliament.
