Texas police opened an investigation on Wednesday following a "some sort of explosion" at Freeport LNG in Brazoria County, Texas, according to a report published by Fox 26 Houston.
Texas Police Department's Marine Division has jointly opened a probe with the United States Coast Guard into the reasons behind the accident, the report added.
The news prompted the prices of natural gas to decline. The company issued a statement shortly after, saying that the incident hasn't caused injuries or risks to nearby communities.
