Explosions sounded on Wednesday in Ukraine's Kiev and Kharkiv, according to the two cities' respective mayors, Vitali Klitschko and Igor Terekhov.
Klitschko briefly exclaimed in a Telegram post that air defense systems are in effect and urged citizens to stay in shelters.
Terekhov stressed in a social media post that residents need to be careful and confirmed hits in a "non-residential area," giving no further information regarding casualties or injuries.
