United States Federal Trade Commission Chair (FTC) Lina Khan told CNBC on Tuesday that she hopes incoming President Donald Trump doesn't give tech giants a "sweetheart deal" in the pending antitrust cases her agency is leading.

"It is true that the FTC has been very successful, including in its ongoing litigations against Amazon and Facebook," Khan stressed but added that she "can't predict what future people in my position are going to do."

The comments come after Amazon Facebook parent Meta donated $1 million each to Trump's inauguration fund.
