France's Barrot 'not intimidated' by Russian nuclear doctrine

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot told France 2 on Wednesday that the country's government is "not intimidated" by Russia's decision to change its nuclear doctrine.

Barrot insisted the doctrine update that relaxes the conditions on the use of nuclear weapons is just "rhetoric."

Earlier, the United States and the United Kingdom called Moscow's move "irresponsible," but Washington also described it as more of the same rhetoric seen over the past two years.
