French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian reaffirmed on Tuesday to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, Nicu Popescu, that France backs Moldova in the face of "destabilization" risks.
Le Drian expressed his concern about the incidents that have occurred over the last two days in Transnistria while reiterating France's full support for "the stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Moldova."
Earlier on Tuesday, Transnistria raised its terror alert following the attacks of Monday. Meanwhile, Ukraine has accused Russia of trying to destabilize Transnistria.
