French far-right National Rally leader Jordan Bardella (pictured) is poised to be the party's nominee for prime minister should they secure a majority in the snap elections, the party's Vice President Sebastien Chenu said on Monday.

During this morning's radio interviews, Chenu vowed to put an end to Macron's "hidden agenda," criticizing the president's "catastrophic budgetary framework." "This election will also be a referendum for or against Emmanuel Macron," Chenu said on air of RTL.

The 28-year-old has served as the leader of the National Rally since 2022. The far-right party outperformed the ruling Renaissance party's result in the European Parliament elections, which pushed Macron to call for early elections later this month.
