The number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since Israel launched its attacks on the region in response to the Hamas attack on October 7 has reached 41,870, the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said on Sunday.
The ministry added that, in the 12 months of the war, 97,166 Palestinians have been injured and stressed that many of the casualties and fatalities were women, children and the elderly.
Earlier, the region's Religious Affairs Ministry said that the Israeli army destroyed 814 mosques, three churches and 19 cemeteries during the first year of its military operation in Gaza.
