Gazprom, Halliburton to launch new projects

Russian gas corporation Gazprom announced on Friday a collaboration with the Halliburton Company on a number of new projects abroad, TASS reported. The two energy giants are planning on jointly working in a number of spheres, including hydrocarbon prospecting and, exploration and development.

Gazprom International, Gazprom’s affiliate outside of Russia, has signed a deal with Halliburton on a number of initiatives focusing on developing projects abroad. "The memorandum expresses the parties’ willingness to cooperate in the identification of new business opportunities for joint development, as well as to cooperate in the performance and evaluation of infrastructure development projects, among others," the joint statement read. The two companies will also focus on providing each other with technical support, initiative documentation, equipment supply, and staff training and development.
