The German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot and British Foreign Minister David Lammy issued a joint statement calling for an "immediate return" to the Gaza ceasefire.

“The resumption of Israeli strikes in Gaza marks a dramatic step backward for the people of Gaza. We are appalled by the civilian casualties and urgently call for an immediate return to a ceasefire,” the joint statement states, calling on "all parties to reengage with negotiations to ensure the ceasefire is implemented in full and becomes permanent."

Yesterday, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Hamas that if the militant group doesn't release hostages, it will "lose more and more land that will be added to Israel."
