Calendar and seasonally adjusted turnover in retail trade in Germany decreased by 4.3% in real terms on a yearly basis in August, the country's statistical office Destatis noted in its report on Friday.
In nominal terms in August, calendar and seasonally adjusted turnover in retail was 0.1% up from July 2022 and 5.4% higher compared to the same month a year earlier.
Month-over-month, the turnover in real terms decreased by 1.3%.
