The European Union's militarization plan is aimed at triggering a new war. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova claimed at a press conference on Thursday.
"The militarization of those countries that are obviously losing the ability to maintain normal functioning of their economies is progressing at an active, hypertrophied pace. Historically, this is what has always been called provoking war," the spokeswoman said.
In early March, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen unveiled the ReArm Europe plan, intended to improve block countries' defense capabilities through a €150 billion loan instrument to facilitate investments in joint defense projects.
