Hamas declared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's claims of "absolute victory" an illusion, stating that Israel's military objectives in Gaza have failed.
In a statement following the release of three Israeli hostages in a prisoner exchange, Hamas' military wing, the Qassam Brigades, said emphasized that Palestinian prisoners' release marks a step toward "return, freedom and self-determination."
Hamas reaffirmed its commitment to resisting Israeli control and accused Netanyahu of prolonging the war. It rejected what it called "Trump's projects of displacement and occupation" and vowed to continue fighting until an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is achieved.
