Palestinian paramilitary organization Hamas revealed on Friday that discussions regarding a ceasefire and the exchange of hostages would recommence in Qatar later in the day.
"Indirect negotiations will resume today, Friday, in the Qatari capital Doha," Hamas said in a statement. According to the group, the negotiations will aim at "ensuring that the agreement leads to a complete cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of occupation forces from the Gaza Strip."
Meanwhile, Channel 12, an Israeli news source, reported that a team of Israeli negotiators was en route to Doha, Qatar, to resume negotiations about the Gaza truce.
