Hamas exposed on Saturday that the Israeli proposal it received earlier does not show a significant change in the Israeli stance nor address the withdrawal of Israeli troops and a cessation of hostilities in Gaza.
"Hamas is still studying the proposal, but there are no high expectations for its acceptance unless fundamental amendments are made to it," the group added on a Telegram post.
The militant group unveiled a video containing two hostages who have been held captive in the Gaza Strip for 202 days. After the release of the video, the families of the hostages called for the replacement of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, citing his failure to achieve a resolution to the ongoing conflict.
