Harris says Americans 'exhausted' by division

United States Vice President Kamala Harris said she believes Americans are "exhausted with the idea" that they are going to be "divided and angry" instead of working together to solve issues.

"The American people deserve a president who's saying, look, let's just be practical, let's get things done and let's not be afraid of having a little joy," Harris said. She described US citizens as "inherently optimistic," with "ambitions and aspirations."

"And that's what motivates me," Harris concluded as CNN's town hall event came to a close.
