United States Vice President Kamala Harris blamed former US President Donald Trump for passing abortion bans that led to the deaths of two women in Georgia.

"At least two women, and that's only the stories we know, here in the state of Georgia, died because of Trump's abortion ban," Harris said in a speech on reproductive rights in Atlanta on Friday, referring to the deaths of Amber Thurman and Candi Miller, who died due to complications that ocurred after they took abortion pills.

The vice president also referred to the presidential debate with Trump, saying how the former US president "brags" about overturning Roe v. Wade. "This is a healthcare crisis, and Donald Trump is the architect of this crisis," Harris emphasized and reiterated her belief that if he became the president again, Trump would sign a national ban on abortions.
