He Lifeng assumes post of Central Financial Commission head

Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng has formally assumed the position of head of the Central Financial Commission (CFC) office and secretary of the Central Financial Work Commission (CFWC), The Global Times wrote on Monday.

Namely, the CFC is a commission of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party that supervises and manages the Chinese financial system, while the Central Financial Work Commission (CFWC) was created to strengthen the Party's role in the country's financial system.
