The Hamas-run Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said on Saturday that the number of Palestinians killed in the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel rose to 34,654.
In the report on the 211th day since the conflict resurged, the ministry said the figure climbed after 32 civilians died in the last 24 hours amid 3 attacks from Israeli forces that also left 41 injured people. The total of injured people since the beginning of the war surged to 77,908.
Earlier, Executive Director of the World Food Programme Cindy McCain stressed that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip reached dramatic levels to the point that "there's famine, full-blown famine in the north and it's moving its way south." She stressed the urge for an immediate ceasefire that allows "unfettered access" to aid.
