Hezbollah claims it hit soldiers in northern Israel

Lebanon-based Hezbollah claimed on Tuesday through a post on Telegram, that it carried out an attack on military personnel in Khallet Wardah, a region in northern Israel. The purpose of this operation, as stated by Hezbollah, was to show support for "our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip."

"The fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted at 05:10 PM on Tuesday, 5/12/2023, a gathering of the 'israeli' occupation soldiers in Khallet Wardeh with appropriate weapons, causing confirmed dead and wounded among them," the group noted.

Earlier, the Lebanese army reported the death of a soldier due to Israeli strikes. However, it wasn't clarified whether the soldier's demise occurred during previous airstrikes conducted by the Israeli Air Forces in the country.
