Yemen's Houthis spokesperson Yahya Saree said on Friday that the militant group targeted an Israeli power station east of Tel Aviv's "occupied" Jaffa area in last night's missile attack.

According to Saree, Houthis struck the Israeli power plant with a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile and conducted another attack using a drone on a military target in the Jaffa area. The Houthi spokesperson claimed that the drone achieved its target successfully, although the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) the drone was shot down before it reached Israel.

Earlier today, the deputy head of the media office for Houthis, Nasruddin Amer, stated that the fact that the rebel group's missile attacks are being conducted successfully shows that the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) systems provided by the United States "failed."
