Yemen-based Houthi group claimed to have successfully shot down a US MQ9 drone over the Hodeidah governorate.

The organization cited the use of locally made ground-to-air missiles in response to what they deemed a "hostile mission" against Yemen.

The incident occurred amid ongoing military operations by the US and its allies in the region in retaliation to Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping lanes.
