Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.'s Mate XT Ultimate, the first-ever tri-foldable smartphone, will be available on markets outside of China as of today, Tuesday, with the starting price at €3,499 in Malaysia.
However, the company has yet to specify in which other countries the purchase of this device will be possible, with GadgetMatch reporting that it would be available in the Philippines in March. Huawei told its customers to keep an eye on local announcements for more details.
Francisco Jeronimo, vice president for data and analytics at International Data Corporation, told CNBC that the model is likely targeting the wealthy audience and for that reason probably won't be sold in greater volumes. Huawei presented its Mate XT in September 2024.
