Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjart said Tuesday that direct talks between the United States and Russia have already helped reduce the risk of a broader escalation in Ukraine. He urged the European Union not to interfere, describing the negotiations as a positive step toward ending the war.
In a video statement, Szijjarto said, "Today, the world has become a safer place," crediting the US-Russia dialogue for lowering tensions. He emphasized that any resolution to the conflict must stem from negotiations between the two powers and expressed hope Brussels would allow those efforts to continue unhindered.
