International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director-General Rafael Grossi (pictured) said on Monday that he expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to Moscow.

"I would expect Russia to officially communicate this... but of course, until the Russian authorities confirm it, I shouldn't do it myself. But that's the intention," Grossi told reporters when asked if he plans to hold a meeting with the Russian head of state.

Previously, the chief of Russia's Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, Alexey Likhachev, announced that Grossi is set to pay a visit to Moscow in early March.
