Iran seizes foreign ship over fuel smuggling

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) seized a foreign vessel in the Persian Gulf for smuggling 20,000 liters of fuel, the Fars news agency reported citing IRGC commander Gholamhossein Hosseini.

"The ship was seized in the northern part of the Persian Gulf. Its eight crew have been handed over to legal authorities in the southern port city of Bushehr," Hosseini noted.

No information was given on which country the ship is from or the nationalities of the arrested crew members.
