Crude oil prices fell by more than 1% on Thursday after China's retaliatory tariffs on goods from the United States took effect, bringing the possibility of a drop in demand. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump maintained tariffs against China while pausing most levies on the rest of the world for 90 days.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for deliveries in May lost 1.23% at 3:34 am ET, going for $61.56 per barrel, while Brent for settlements in June declined by 1.30% to sell for $64.65.
