Major stock market indexes in Europe opened mostly higher on Thursday ahead of the updates on the Eurozone's gross domestic product (GDP) and industrial production. Previously, Deutsche Telekom AG, Siemens AG, and E.ON SE reported better-than-expected results in the third quarter.
The DAX increased by 0.50% at 9:01 am CET as Siemens Energy AG went up by 1.17%. The Eurostoxx 50 grew by 0.50% at 09:01 am CET, with ASML Holding NV jumping by 2.21% at 9:02 am CET. The CAC 40 gained 0.44% as Thales SA expanded by 1.64%. Meanwhile, the FTSE 100 stood flat before going down by 0.13%.
The euro and the pound sterling lost 0.10% and 0.14% to the United States dollar at 8:58 am CET to sell for $1.05517 and $1.26868, respectively.
