Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Wednesday that an agreement on reviving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is "closer than ever before," adding that, "if the American side acts realistically, we are ready to finalize the agreement with the presence of the foreign ministers in Vienna."
The United States expressed hope last week that a deal could be reached "within days," noting "significant progress." However, an official stressed the delegations are "working through a number of difficult issues."
