Iran presently has no plans for further retaliatory actions against Israel, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossain Amir Abdollahian said on Sunday, echoing previous remarks by Iran's UN mission.

He emphasized Iran's commitment to regional and global peace and noted that despite indicating a cessation of current operations, Iran remains ready to defend its interests if provoked.

The news comes after Iran struck Israel overnight in response to an Israeli strike in Syria, which resulted in the deaths of several Iranian generals. The attack was described by Iran as "limited" in scope.
