Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations announced that the country's military operation against Israel "can be deemed concluded."
"Conducted on the strength of Article 51 of the UN Charter pertaining to legitimate defense, Iran's military action was in response to the Zionist regime's aggression against our diplomatic premises in Damascus," it was written in a statement posted on X.
However, Iran warned that should Israel "make another mistake," Tehran's response will be "considerably more severe," further emphasizing that Washington "must stay away" from the conflict.
